    Job Summary:


    WaferTech is seeking an experienced Etch Equipment Technician to join our engineering department. In this roll you will be responsible for supporting a variety of Etch platforms. You will work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment in a cleanroom setting while performing detailed electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and preventative maintenance work on Etch tools. You must be willing and capable to working compressed 12-hour shift. This position will be assigned to D shift, but may be asked to work additional hours and should be flexible to change shift to support business needs.  Our ideal candidate will possess excellent teambuilding skills and will demonstrate WaferTech's four core values of Integrity, Customer Partnership, Innovation, and Commitment. 

    Responsibilities:


    • Work closely with vendors, equipment engineers, equipment technicians and other tool owners to improve overall area and tool performance.

    • Perform basic to complex tool repairs according to OIs and/or BKMs.

    • Provide accurate and detailed information for equipment logs, repair data and tool status information at shift pass down.

    • Familiar with the use of electrical and/or test equipment.

    • Become fully certified on tools of responsibility.

    • Review spare parts inventory and recommend changes.

    • Support the Etch area with other responsibilities as needed.

     

    Requirements:


    • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

    • Strong understanding of Etch semiconductor equipment is strong preferred.

    • Strong electrical and mechanical problem solving and troubleshooting knowledge for Etch platform.

    • Detail oriented and self motivated individual.

    • Team player with the ability to coach and mentor junior engineers and technicians.

     

    Years of Related Experience/Educational Preferences:


    • Associates degree, equivalent coursework and/or military experience required.

    • 3 +years of semiconductor experience with AMAT  Etch Tools.
