Job Summary:
WaferTech, A TSMC Company is seeking a Facilities Technician to join our
team.
In this position you will be part of the Facilities
Operations & Maintenance Team and be directly responsible for operations
and maintenance of equipment in WaferTech’s Facilities Process Section.
The Process Section includes the DI/UPW (Ultra Pure Water) System and
the Wastewater Treatment system. The team is responsible for 24x7
operation and maintenance.
In
addition to daily operations you will also be responsible for
participating in engineering, construction, and commissioning of system
related capital projects, system operational reliability, and system
continuous improvement efforts for the Facilities Process Section.

Responsibilities:

Participate in
overall systems performance, operating costs, reliability, daily
operations (24X7), and continuous improvement programs.

Participate in the
planning and execution of all expense & capital projects for the
Facilities Process group.

Participate in
system reliability and improvement plans / projects.
-
Execution of
required training programs for Facilities Technicians.
-
Provide resolutions
to daily operational issues.
-
Participate in
implementing new process for system optimization.
-
Participation in
and completion of Technician Training Programs.
-
System and
operational quality improvement.
-
Compliance with
environmental and safety regulations.
-
Ability to work
overtime as required

Strong professional
attitude with excellent teamwork skills.

Prior experience
with Ultra-pure water Plant operations in a semiconductor setting
(preferred)
-
Prior experience
with Wastewater Treatment plant operations in a semiconductor stetting
(preferred)
-
Computer skills:
familiarity with MS Office and ability to learn new programs specific
to the job.

Knowledgeable and
reliable in operating automated systems with associated HMI's.
-
Mechanical
abilities to perform system and equipment troubleshooting and repairs
preferred.

Electronic/Electrical experience a plus

Must meet minimum
physical requirements. (working from ladders, lifting loads, handling
hazardous materials. Ability)

Ability to follow
written procedures.

Ability to work any
shift (day or night)

Other assignments
as directed.
Requirements:
-
Strong experiences in a
semiconductor fabrication facility.
-
Excellent verbal and written
communication skills.
-
Commitment.
-
Technical knowledge of
semiconductor ultra-pure water systems (pumps, controls, IEX, RO,
etc.) preferred.

Technical knowledge of
semiconductor wastewater treatment systems (primary treatment systems
such as pH neutralization, clarification, solids separation, etc.)
preferred.
-
Willingness to respond to
operational issues 24 X 7

Posses both mechanical and
electrical/electronic skills, and be willing to occasionally work with
hazardous materials

Must have a high level of
responsibility, be reliable and self-motivated, and able to work
unsupervised as a team or individually

Occasional work in clean room
environment if necessary
Years of Related
Experience/Educational Preferences:
-
5+ years direct operations + maintenance experience in water
treatment systems preferably in the semiconductor industry.
-
5+ years engineering and operations + maintenance experience in
a semiconductor FAB facilities department or similar industrial
setting.
Understanding of basic electrical system concepts and
troubleshooting
Understanding of basic PLC control systems and data
An AS in related field and relevant semiconductor facilities
experience is also acceptable.
Industrial certifications in water treatment (preferable)
