Job Summary:
If you enjoy helping people resolve computer issues and are interested in

you at WaferTech. As an IT Helpdesk technician, your primary
responsibility is to resolve hardware and software issues with quality,
speed and excellent customer service skills. This is a non-exempt
position with a M-F, 8-5 schedule. Our ideal candidate will possess

Responsibilities:

Carry on-duty phone, resolve and record user calls for assistance or
repair.

Troubleshoot and repair Windows-based (95/98/2000/XP/Vista) network,
hardware and software.

Escalate open issues to developers and administrators and follow up on
those issues.

Provide hardware/software support based on SOPs provided by
administrators and developers.

Install, update, and manage desktop and laptop hard disk images.

Perform maintenance for email and security configuration.
-
Support telephone installation and configuration change.

Provide backup/recovery for manufacturing system computers based on
DOS/Windows 95/98/2000/XP in cleanroom environment.

Perform projects and work requests as requested.

Train users in hardware/software operation. Document FAQ for helpdesk
website and prepare SOP for routine tasks.

Manage helpdesk hardware and software inventory.

Manage used hardware recycle.

Research,
evaluate and test hardware, software and solutions to improve user
computing environment; prepare technical specifications and PR for
purchase.
Requirements:

Expertise in windows based desktop OS:
DOS, windows 95/98/2000/XP

Expertise in network, hardware and
software troubleshooting.

Good
knowledge in use of Microsoft Office, Outlook and IE.

Good knowledge in HTML development.

Desired skills: experience with
scripting language and batch files.
