    Job Summary:

    WaferTech is pleased to announce our 2008 internship opportunities. As a paid intern at WaferTech in our EH&S department you will have the opportunity to work with a team of professionals and gain insight into future career opportunities.  You will have an opportunity for both office and field work on a Monday through Friday  8 - 5 shift. 

    Responsibilities:

    • Assist with chemical exposure monitoring and hazard assessments for chemical
      exposures during maintenance activities on manufacturing tools and facility equipment.

    • Perform ionizing radiation assessments of ion implanters and scanning electron microscopes.
    • Assist with site-wide noise dosimetry.
    • Coordinate with environmental engineer to assist with sampling required to reduce waste flow to our waste water treatment facility.

    Requirements:

    • Knowledge of chemistry

    • Able to wear a respirator (if needed)

    • Excellent communication skills

    • Computer skills (MS Excel)

    • Good organizational skills

    • Self-motivated and driven.

     Years of Related Experience/Educational Preferences:

    • College-level training in the health and safety field.
