Job Summary:
WaferTech has an opportunity for a Quality Control Lab Technician to join our
team. In this role you will be working for a Semiconductor Foundry assisting in
the daily operation of an analytical chemical laboratory. Duties involve the
monitoring of incoming materials, process solutions and Fab environment and
tools for trace level contamination. WaferTech is a fast paced environment
requiring quick, accurate turn-around. Significant time will be spent in a clean
room environment. This position does work with hazardous chemicals, specifically
concentrated acids and bases. Training for laboratory and analysis techniques
and tools will be provided to the candidate selected. The position will start
as day shift, M-F, but compressed or swing shift is possible in future.
Occasional weekend support work is required. Emergency on-call work within
co-worker rotation schedule.

Responsibilities:

Follow safety guidelines
-
Provide support to manufacturing and engineering
through sample collection and analysis
-
Follow standard practices and procedures in
analyzing samples
-
Perform routine sample preparation, staging and
collection
-
Perform airborne molecular contamination sampling
and analysis (AMC) using ion chromatography
-
Perform trace analysis of ultra-pure aqueous
samples using ICPMS, GFAA, IC, titration, and/or FTIR
-
Assist in maintaining and updating database of all
samples collected and analyzed.

Collect samples and perform bacterial growth
analysis of ultra-pure deionized water.

Basic interpretation of analytical results

Notification to internal customers of abnormal
events and coordination with appropriate personnel to ensure action plan(s)
have corrected problem

Contribute to maintenance and routine calibration
monitors of analytical instruments

Assist in non-routine sampling and analysis
-
Assist in implementation of routine problem
solutions and continuous improvement projects in laboratory environment.
Requirements:

Familiarity with general chemical / elemental
analysis techniques and sampling is preferred

Safe and proficient laboratory practices

MS Word and Excel skills required

Years of Related Experience/Educational
Preferences:

Associates
degree or equivalent coursework in addition to 0-1 year relevant experience

1+ years
experience in a Analytical Chemical Lab preferred

Experience in semiconductor manufacturing
environment a plus
