Wafertech is currently seeking a Statistical Process Control Engineer to join
out team. The SPC Engineer will use statistical methods to analyze process and
equipment data to determine opportunities for process control improvement.
Other responsibilities are to assess overall SPC systems performance using
multiple metrics and pareto analysis, prepare/assemble weekly and monthly
reports on SPC program trends including OOC, OOS, CpK, customer products and
other indices. The SPC Engineer will co-work with engineering and manufacturing
users, corporate quality and IT department(s) to transfer/report benchmark
indices and methodologies in WaferTech.
In
this role you may be called upon to teach SPC methodologies and related courses
to advance the understanding of process control at WaferTech and will also
present SPC system performance and methodologies to customers and/or auditors.

Responsibilities:
Responsible for and have the authority to

identify and record any problems relating to the
product, process or quality system

initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any
non-conformities

recommend, provide and/or verify solutions for
improving process control

recommend, provide and or verify solutions which
correct deficiencies in process control
-
represent the needs of the customer to internal
parties with respect to process control
Duties include
-
Review of SPC control charts for improvement opportunities
-
Preparation & analysis of weekly and monthly summary reports for management
review

Prepare monthly reports for Customer review
-
Reference/resource for SPC methodology improvement projects

Teach SPC and related courses
Requirements:
-
Requires a fundamental understanding of SPC, CpK
and Control Charts of various types
-
Basic understanding of statistical methodologies
as applied to IC manufacturing. Advanced understanding and previous
experience in an IC manufacturing environment preferred

Ability to communicate well at all levels of the
organization

Project management experience preferred

Software skills include: Microsoft suite
(Excel/Word/Powerpoint/Access). Database, macro programming and/or query
languages helpful . Knowledge of advanced statistical software (Statistica
or equivalent) helpful.

Years of Related Experience/Educational
Preferences:

BS in Mathematics or related Engineering field

2 years of Semiconductor manufacturing experience
preferred
