    Job Summary:


    WaferTech is searching for a goal-oriented and results driven individual for the role of Probe Card Technician in our Test Engineering department. As a Probe Card Technician you primary responsibilities entail the repair and maintenance of probe cards, load boards and the support for the equipment in the testing area of a semiconductor foundry.  This is an “A “shift position which requires working a 12-hour compressed work week from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM with three days on and 4 days off, then 4 days on and three days off the following week.  Specific days include Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and every other Wednesday.  The position requires working in a fast paced environment, in a clean room setting and wearing a clean room suit.  The ability to work any shift is important due to occasional shift overlap and shift re-assignment to meet changing business requirements.  Our ideal candidate will possess excellent teambuilding and leadership skills and will be able to demonstrate WaferTech's four core values of Integrity, Customer Partnership, Innovation, and Commitment.

    Responsibilities:


    • Work on probe card periodic maintenance, including probe pin adjustment, planarity verification, contact resistance reduction and documentation.

    • Probe card repair including electronic component troubleshooting, soldering, probe adjustment and correlation.

    • Operation of probers, Probe Care Analyzer, DMM’s Capacitance meters, Microscopes and other probe card analysis and repair tools.

    Requirements:


      • High degree of manual dexterity is required.
      • Ability to work for long periods under a microscope using tweezers.
      • Strong technical writing and documentation skills.
      • Self-motivated and adept at handling drastic and immediate schedule changes.
      • High flexibility in working hours and duties.  This position may require rotation of schedule and/or overtime on days off.
      • Ability to work with little or no direct supervision and demonstrate tenacity to ensure the completion of projects is essential.
      • Excellent teamwork skills and the ability to take direction from more than one source

    Years of Related Experience/Educational Preferences:


    • An Associates Science degree in an engineering discipline from a certified school.
    • Experience in a semiconductor test or production environment is preferred.
    • Must be able to work in the US long term.  No sponsorship is provided for this position.
