    Job Summary:

In the position of Equipment Technician you are responsible for performing complex electrical/mechanical troubleshooting and preventative maintenance duties on semiconductor fabrication equipment in a clean room. Flexibility to work any shift on a compressed 12-hour shift structure is required. WaferTech is a fast paced semiconductor environment.     Responsibilities:


    • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on semiconductor tools..

    • Work with counterparts within the engineering departments and other departments to meet manufacturing goals.

    • Repair equipment according to OEM documentation, blueprints and/or written procedures.

    • Utilize equipment performance indices to identify issues and take appropriate action for resolution.

    Requirements:


    • Self-motivated and have the ability to multi-task in a high-paced/high stress environment

    • Should have maintenance experience with semiconductor tools.

    • Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills are necessary, along with computer skills.

    • Ability to analyze tool performance data to detect problems and suggest improvements.

    • Maintain equipment logs, repair data and shift pass-down

    • Familiar with the use of electronics test equipment and hand tools.

    • Good oral and written communication skills and the ability to work well with others.

    • Need strong attention to detail and able to work independently with minimum instruction.

    Years of Related Experience/Educational Preferences:


    • Associates degree in electronics (or similar field) is required.

    • 5 plus years experience with troubleshooting and problem solving on  8" wafer fabrication tools is required.
